Course Overview

 

Become a Cosmetic Nurse.                 

The 52852WA Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables is a postgraduate course developed specifically for qualified Nurses wishing to enter the field of cosmetic medicine. This nationally accredited qualification will provide Nurses with the knowledge and hands-on practical skills required to work in a cosmetic medical practice performing a range of dermal therapies, injectable procedures and cosmetic nursing duties.

The unit ‘CDNEIP02 Evaluate and perform cosmetic injectable procedures’ is the first nationally accredited unit covering the theory and practical skills associated with dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxants.

Optional Graduate Clinical Experience

Grayclay offers an optional Graduate Clinical Experience Program, designed for graduates  to gain additional experience practicing their skills and managing their workday in preparation for their career. Placement is conducted with “White Rooms Clinics” and students can elect to participate in an additional 40 or 80 hour block. There is no charge for this placement.

 

Admission Requirements

  • Must be a Registered or enrolled/division 2 nurse
  • Current registration through AHPRA
  • Please note: If you graduated prior to 2008, you MUST hold a current medications endorsement

Course Duration And Study Commitment

The course can be delivered over a range of course duration’s, depending on the needs and characteristics of the student.

  • Full Time = 5 x 10 week terms, includes 3 weeks break between each term
  • Part Time = 10 x 10 week term, includes 3 weeks break between each term
  • Single unit mode = up to 3 years to complete qualification

16 hours per week on-campus,  plus 16 hours of self guided home study, 10 days practical training and four days full time block for clinical competencies in Cosmetic Injectables at the Grayclay Student Clinic.

Additional support options –  “Assessment study hours” and “Catch Up Calls” optional.

Professional Recognition

Graduates of the 52852WA Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables are eligible to join the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine’s Cosmetic Nursing membership category.

LASER LICENCING QUEENSLAND – Complete this course and you will be eligible for “FAST TRACK” Class 4 Laser  Licencing Queensland Radiation Health (click here for further information)
