In our previous Grayclay blog, we looked at one of our newest courses: the Graduate Diploma in Dermal Therapies (52854WA). It is such a great option for people already working in medical aesthetics, health and beauty and who are keen to enhance their qualifications and career prospects. 

 Today we will explore another course — the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science (52850WA) – available at Grayclay’s study location on the spectacular Gold Coast.

What makes the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science so special?  

This course has been developed for undergraduate candidates who want to: 

  • qualify as dermal therapists and work in a cosmetic medical practice or dermal clinic 
  • provide results-driven, scientifically-based procedures while working alongside other allied health and cosmetic medical professionals

This course is also recognised by Queensland Radiation Health — under the auspices of the Queensland Government —as meetingits Fast-Track Laser Licence criteria for hair removal, vascular and skin rejuvenation treatment categories. Graduates can apply for theirfull laser licence on completion of the Advanced Diploma. 

 

Sounds great. Are there any specific guidelines I need to meet? 

Yes, all applicants for the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science must meet the following admission requirements: 

  •    successful completion of Year 12 or be a mature-aged student
  •    complete an interview to determine suitability for the course
  •    submit a 1000-word essay about the practice of cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies in Australia to determine suitability for the course.
